Music Credits and Soundtrack from Love and Death

Woody Allen's 1975 Love and Death is an homage to classic Russian music, literature and films. Dealing with such weighty topics as love and death, Allen chose music that is highly dramatic and moving.

Consequently, most of the music used is the film is from Russian composer Sergey Prokofiev. Moviegoers will recognize Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kije suite and the Alexander Nevsky Cantata.

Prokofiev Suites Fans can have these classic pieces of music, and essentially be enjoying the soundtrack. There is a Telarc recording conducted by Andre Previn that contains both of these works that is very nice.
